Dedalos would be proud!

It was (maybe still is) one of the first wind swells of the summer at Aegean. No crowd, small but fun waves and a chance to surf with just your boardshorts and some sunscreen. Finally the coconut smell of the wax comes with the climate that suits it.

Ikaria maybe is one of the best summer spots for surfing since the consistency of the wave is very good. The swell might not be five star quality level, but it’s fun and can get up to 5ft (1,5-2m) high.

The last 2-3 years many efforts have been made to create a surf school and maybe this year is the first time they can call it official. The conditions are perfect for rookie to intermediate level and the guys running the school are super cool! We’ll keep you posted about the surf school, but until then, try your luck cause there is a good prediction on the forecast for this weekend! W²
